“Jason” joined Urban Stable in grade 6. He was often frustrated and angry with how life was going for him, struggling in class and being bullied at recess. Through working with his horse at Urban Stable, Jason was able to identify his frustration, work through it and develop ways to manage his emotions. Jason now calms quicker, can use his words to express his emotions and rationalize what he is feeling. Jason has grown emotionally over the two years in the program. Jason is  now not afraid at recess because of what his horse taught him; to have empathy for others.
